Mad about music school. It’s all in the name! We are most definitely, certifiably MAD about what we do.. Music lessons in the heart of Castletroy!

The school is situated in the Technology Park, Castletroy and  we are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful gardens where wild Rabbits, Pheasants and multitudes of birds roam freely. We are just up the road from the University Of Limerick (UL) in a period house built around 200 years ago, with large landscaped private grounds. We have ample private and safe parking directly outside the school with 2 car parks.  Our students travel from local areas, such as Annacotty,  Monaleen, Milford, Lisnagry,  Castleconnell, Dooradoyle, Raheen etc, and some travel from as far afield as Clare, Tipperary, Galway and even Dublin.

Our lessons are fun, instructive  and confidence building. Students learn through positive reinforcement, backed up by our professional team of qualified musicians. Every student has the option to sit exams, but this is the students choice. We use 4 examination boards, and consistently score very highly with all of them.

Some of our team, are part of Music Generation projects and others teach as visiting professors at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, with many of us holding MA’s and Phd’s.

We started the school in April 2014, during Limericks City Of Culture year. After just 1 term, we have had to move into a much larger premises to meet student demand. We are not your average music school. We love what we do, and you will too.

Whether you want to learn Classical, traditional, jazz, modern or rock styles of music, or just want to be able to strum a guitar and sing along, we have a tutor for you! We teach violin, piano, classical & acoustic guitar, drums,  bass & electric guitar, cello, double bass and ukelele to name but a few (see our courses page for a full list of instruments we teach).  Our team of professional musicians and tutors, are on hand to help you achieve your musical ambitions! We also offer fantastic after school groups such as choirs and ensembles, as well as being able to teach junior cert and leaving certificate music, as grinds or the full course.

We offer all of our lessons to children and adults, including students  with Special needs. Our staff are trained and experienced in Autism (ASD) as well as physical and psychological disabilities.

There’s always room for a little more music in life! Maybe there’s a guitar in the corner that’s been waiting patiently, a little drummer turning the kitchen table into a drum kit, or a piano you’ve always fancied having a go at. Whatever it is, now’s the perfect time to start. Our Spring 2027 term is just around the corner and places fill up fast, so get in early to grab your favourite day and time.

So why not come and join us at Limerick’s number 1 music school? Use our online enrollment form, or give us a call on 061 577077. We’re Mad About Music… are you?!
